Tom worrying about her and the baby and loving them subconsciously, even through the brainwashing, is actually the cutest shit I’ve ever seen

voyager gets one (1) point for the heterosexuals by having an episode where most of the cast is mind-wiped, and tom and b’elanna manage to find each other anyhow.

like the part where b’elanna starts to remember their life together, realizing that she wasn’t alone while expecting, but had a devoted partner who adores her so much it beat brainwashing? ya got me voyager!! one point for the straights!

Harry Kim: completely on accident and apologizes like 97 times.

Tom Paris: definitely of purpose and plays it off like a joke.

B’Elanna Torres: would sarcastically say “Okay mom…” under her breath when leaving the conference room.

Seven of Nine: Does not understand why someone would call her “mom”. -has mommy issues from the Borg Queen-

Tuvok: Would never call her “mom”, thinks of her like a reckless little sister, but probably never admit it.

The Doctor (EMH): She is not his mother, he doesn’t have one, and he’d never mis-speak, he is a top of the line Emergency Medical Hologram after all.

Neeilx: Wouldn’t call her mom per say but does think of her like the mom of Voyager.

Kes: Does think of her like a mom and thinks she’d make a great one someday, Kes has told Janeway this and she teared up.

Naomi: Thinks of her as one of her Aunts (the coolest one) and has accidentally called her mom more than once.

Chakotay: Hasn’t called her mom but would like to be the father of her children…. Wait did he say that out loud??!

Q: Calls her Mommy (yes in that way).

I personally really like it, because I think it was one of the first times I’d seen a male character turn down a female character who hit on them while not in their right mind.

I know it has its problems and Pon Farr is a really fucked concept. On the other hand, seeing a male character refuse to take advantage of a female character in a scenario where they could feasibly excuse it was so important to me as a young woman.

I just watched "Blood Fever" and I can't decide whether or not it was actually good or if it was just a particularly entertaining version of Voyager's unhinged weirdness

Tom x B'Elanna is one of those pairings where I like them separately but together they do nothing for me. I think her and Vorik would've been way more interesting but of course they had to ruin his character with the "Blood Fever" episode.
